Despite His Public Scandals, Ezra Miller Made $3 Million From The Flash

Ezra Miller has been involved in a variety of controversies in the past two years. Despite the scandals, Marvel didn’t recast them in The Flash movie, which hits theatres this month.

In factor, it appears the actor (who uses they/them pronouns) got a big paycheck to reprise their character. One report from Showbiz Galore estimates Ezra received $3 million for the role.

Ezra likely had the highest salary for the movie, too, as Sasha Calle (who plays Kara Zor-El/Supergirl) reportedly made $800,000, and Michael Shannon (who plays General Zod) got $700,000.

According to IMDB, the movie’s plot follows “Barry Allen [as he] uses his super speed to change the past, but his attempt to save his family creates a world without super heroes, forcing him to race for his life in order to save the future.”

For now, the film has an 8 star rating on the website review platform, though it’s only been freshly released.

The positive rating may stand to go down in the wake of Ezra’s controversial reputation. The actor has faced multiple jarring accusations , including of grooming multiple minors.

In June 2022, the parents of an 18-year-old girl filed for a restraining order after they accused Ezra of forming an inappropriate relationship with her when she was 12.

The teen later dropped out of college to live with Ezra, only for them to allegedly take her identification away. Her parents had to pick her up, and now accuse Ezra of using “cult-like and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior.”

Also last year, Ezra was accused of housing a mother who was on the run with her three kids, despite not having custody. The actor apparently let them stay on his Vermont farm, but it was allegedly a dangerous situation involving readily-available weapons and drugs.

Additionally, the actor has been charged with possession and assault on numerous occasions, and accused of mistreating their sexual partners.

Despite Ezra’s reputation, they have portrayed The Flash in a number of Marvel movies since 2016, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Justice League, and Zach Snyder’s Justice League. Ezra likely got the biggest pay check for their most recent movie, given that they’re the titular character.

Nevertheless, the franchise has received backlash for continuing to work with Ezra despite the actor’s history, with multiple calls for the actor to be recast. So, it remains to be seen if future Marvel movies see Ezra return as The Flash.
